This stock assessment reports the status of the coastal Pacific Hake (or Pacific whiting, Merluccius productus) resource off the west coast of the United States and Canada at the start of 2020. It represents the collaborative efforts of the official U.S. and Canadian members of the Pacific Hake/Whiting Treaty Joint Technical Committee, and others that contributed significantly. It was reviewed by the Pacific Hake/Whiting Treaty Scientific Review Group February 25–28, 2020, in Seattle, Washington, under the authority of the Agreement Between the Government of the United States of America and the Government of Canada on Pacific Hake/Whiting.
