  • Today, on Law Enforcement Appreciation Day, we extend our deepest gratitude to the brave men and women of the Glendale Heights Police Department and law enforcement officers everywhere. Your unwavering dedication, courage, and commitment to protecting our community do not go unnoticed. From ensuring our safety to lending a helping hand, you go above and beyond to make Glendale Heights a better place for all. To every officer, dispatcher, and staff member who answers the call, thank you for your service and sacrifice. We stand with you today and every day. Let’s show our support by thanking an officer, sharing a kind word, or simply taking a moment to reflect on the vital role law enforcement plays in our lives. #LawEnforcementAppreciationDay #ThankYouOfficers #GHPD

  • Behind the Scenes with Public Works This weekend, our Public Works team braved the cold, wet, and muddy conditions to repair water main breaks caused by freezing temperatures. While it’s not the most glamorous part of their job, it’s a vital one—and they tackled it with dedication and efficiency. Here’s a behind-the-scenes look at the tough conditions they face to keep water flowing in our community. Thank you to our hardworking Public Works crew for their unwavering commitment, no matter the challenge, and thank you to the community for their patience while these repairs were made.

  • Exciting news for Glendale Heights! The Village of Glendale Heights is proud to announce that we have been awarded a $600,000 OSLAD (Open Space Land Acquisition and Development) grant. This grant will be used to develop the Simons Property, a beautiful 4.40-acre parcel located at 1N 410 N Evergreen Avenue that is adjacent to the Great Western Trail. After hearing input from the surrounding community, we are tentatively planning a new multi-age group playground, picnic shelter, game tables, bean bag toss courts, and a .25-mile walking path with nature/educational information. This Park will also connect to the Great Western Trail located to the south of the proposed park. This funding is a significant step forward in enhancing recreational opportunities and preserving green spaces for our community. Stay tuned for updates as we transform this space into a destination for everyone to enjoy!

  • As we close the chapter on an incredible 2024, we’re reflecting on some of the most memorable moments captured right here in Glendale Heights. From marveling at the eclipse to witnessing the aurora borealis illuminate the night with vibrant colors—these were truly unforgettable experiences. This year, we took in stunning sunrises and sunsets, we welcomed K-9 Ivy to our team, danced the night away at Village events, looked in awe at our firework displays, and even soared into the holiday spirit alongside Mr. and Mrs. Claus. But what stands out most are the many faces of Glendale Heights: the smiles, laughter, and dedication of our residents and staff. You are the heart of our Village, making every moment special, from community gatherings to everyday life. Thank you for being part of this journey. Here’s to making 2025 even more extraordinary!

  • No filter needed when it’s a picture perfect snow scene for our night crew. We might even say this could be the start of a Hallmark Christmas Movie… 🤔 Title: Snowfall on Duty As the first snow of the season blankets the charming Village of Glendale Heights, Officer Holly Winters is working the night shift, patrolling the quiet streets. When a mysterious car is found abandoned near the town square, it leads her to an intriguing stranger, Jack, who claims to have lost his memory but seems to know an awful lot about spreading Christmas cheer. As Holly investigates Jack’s story, the two begin to unravel a holiday mystery that could save Christmas for the entire town—and just maybe, warm their hearts along the way. With twinkling lights, snowy streets, and a touch of romance, Snowfall on Duty is a heartfelt tale of love, trust, and the magic of the holiday season. Now showing on the Hallmark Channel! 🍿
