We have helped thousands of entrepreneurs, innovators, creators and others raise more than $1.7 billion dollars from backers all over the world. We have empowered a new generation of innovative entrepreneurs to go direct-to-consumer to reach their first customers. These entrepreneurs have brought innovative electric bikes, headphones, smart watches, beehives and more to consumers around the world. Additionally, the Indiegogo platform has been used by the most innovative teams in larger companies like P&G, Bose, and GE to connect directly with new customers to bring them their most innovative products. Mate X, the most successful entrepreneur ever on Indiegogo, has raised more than $24 million on our platform and has delivered thousands of electric bikes to backers all over the world. In addition, we are now the largest U.S. based crowdfunding platform in China with over 39 Chinese entrepreneurs that have raised over $1 million on our platform. Each day we take pride in how each project on Indiegogo (large and small) helps us fulfill our mission to empower people to unite around ideas that matter to them and together make those ideas come to life. 

Today, I’m excited to share a leadership team change that will take Indiegogo into the next phase. After almost 6 years at Indiegogo, I have decided for personal reasons to step down from my current role as President and CEO. After working closely with our board on a thorough search, I am thrilled to announce that Andy Yang will be joining the company as the new President and CEO tomorrow. I am truly excited to see Andy lead Indiegogo into the next chapter. Andy brings close to 20 years of experience in the tech industry, most recently leading core product at Reddit, and before that as the CEO at 500px which created a marketplace for independent photographers. In Andy’s words, “I’m thrilled to take over the CEO reins from Dave and enable the company to further achieve its mission."

It’s been a joy and an honor to be CEO of Indiegogo, to work so closely with our wonderful team and to watch so many creative and innovative ideas come to life on our platform. I look forward to watching the company’s continued growth under Andy’s leadership.
