MS Symptom Spotlight - Anxiety
Anxiety is perhaps the most taxing and under-treated psychological effect of living with MS. It does not appear to result from the physical disease process of MS, but rather stems from the realities of living with MS. Individuals living with MS know that it’s the unpredictability, and therefore the difficulty, in planning and preparing for the effects of MS on your life, that drives one’s anxiety.
Spasticity
Spasticity affects over 12 million people worldwide with a variety of neurological conditions, including MS. In order to build a community of support for those who experience spasticity, several patient advocacy organizations, including MSAA, created the Spasticity Alliance to offer support, information, and resources to those who are affected by this condition. If you would like to know more about the Spasticity Alliance, click the image above.
The social network for health
Today, our partners at HealthUnlocked are featuring multiple sclerosis in their "12 Days of HealthUnlocked Christmas" blog. Each day, HealthUnlocked is highlighting a different condition to help raise awareness of the key facts and symptoms as well as available resources for those particular conditions. You can join the online forum, My MSAA Community within HealthUnlocked to find support, help, and information from other people within the MS community.
If you're looking for a resource to speak with other members of the MS community, look no further than My MSAA Community! It's an online forum where people with MS can find answers, support, and advice from other people affected by MS.
