My paintings go through many transitions before they are “finished”. They start with basic shapes and I slowly add layers and depth until I think they are interesting, and then I stop and evaluate. Sometimes they need more detail, sometimes they need more simplicity and need something taken away. It’s a give and take. Here’s a few extra petals that will most likely end up covered up with other layers. 😁
