    SRP public price process

On Dec. 2, 2024, SRP opened a public price process. During this process, SRP’s Board of Directors will take public comment and evaluate changes to our current price plans and monthly service charges. We invite you to provide feedback or questions online at srpprices.com or at any of the public meetings during January and February.

If approved by the publicly elected SRP Board of Directors, the plan changes go into effect with your November 2025 billing cycle. To learn more, visit srpprices.com or contact us at (602) 236-8888.

Four heating tips to save you money

Even though your energy consumption may decrease during the winter months, there are still ways to save even more.

    1. Have your heating system serviced at least once a year to maintain its efficiency.
    2. Replace disposable air filters or clean permanent ones at least once a month.
    3. Set your thermostat between 68° and 70° when you are home and at 65° or lower when you are away.
    4. Keep drapes open during the day to let the heat in and close them at night to help retain the heat.

What are your New Year’s resolutions?

As one of the Valley’s leading suppliers of water, SRP encourages you to conserve our most precious resource. Here are some tips to get your 2025 started right:

    • Convert grass to xeriscape (low-water-use landscaping).
    • Run the dishwasher and washing machine with full loads only. Also, consider washing clothes with cold water.
    • Adjust your irrigation controller with the seasons or install a smart irrigation controller.
    • Find and fix leaks. One drip every second adds up to 5 gallons per day.
    • If your shower fills a one-gallon bucket in less than 20 seconds, replace the showerhead with a WaterSense® efficient product.

    Did you know?

Trees can create safety hazards when they grow too close to power lines.

To avoid these hazards, follow these suggestions from experts at SRP. Before planting a new tree, find out its mature height and spread, and locate it at least 20 feet away from overhead power lines. Be sure to stay safe and call 811 prior to digging. This call lets local utilities know to mark the location of existing underground lines before you dig.

Go to srp.net/treeprune for more details.

    Right Tree, Right Place:

SRP has partnered with municipalities throughout the Valley to replace trees that must be removed for safety reasons. For every tree removed, two to three new trees are then planted at nearby parks, schools and neighborhoods, helping to create more urban tree coverage.
