Preminor Requirements 

*Students must first complete the Gatton Premajor curriculum and be eligible for admission into Upper Division in the Gatton College of Business and Economics. The Premajor curriculum includes the following courses:  

  • CIS 110/WRD 110- Composition and Communication I                                         
  • CIS 111/WRD 111- Composition and Communication II                        (6 Credit Hours)

  • CIS 112/WRD 112- Accelerated Composition and Communication II (3 Credit Hours)

 

  • ACC 200 - Intro to Accounting for Decision Markers                                (3 Credit Hours)

OR

  • ACC 202 - Managerial Uses of Accounting Information                           (3 Credit Hours)
  • ACC 201 - Financial Accounting                                                                    (3 Credit Hours)                                                                                       
  • ECO 201 - Principles of Economics I                                                             (3 Credit Hours)                                                                                       
  • ECO 202 - Principles of Economics II                                                            (3 Credit Hours)                                                                                          
  • AN 105 - Business Applications of Spreadsheets                                       (1 Credit Hour)

OR

  • ACE/ECO 471- International Trade                                                                (3 Credit Hours)                                                                                                                                                                                    ​        *ECO 401 is a prerequisite for ECO 471
  • MKT 435- International Marketing                                                                 (3 Credit Hours)                                                                                                                                                        

Plus, two of the following:

  1. FIN 423- International Finance

                        *This course is best suited for Finance Majors

*FIN 405 is a prerequisite for FIN 423

 

  1. A UK Core Global Citizenship course at the 200 level and above that is not used to satisfy UK Core Requirements

 

  1. At least 3 credit hours earned through an education abroad experience

 

  1. 6 credit hours of college-level foreign language

Students must take at least nine hours of upper-division classes from the Gatton College (50 percent of the upper division requirements for a minor)
