We are required to notify you of the risks of paying for medical services with a credit card in accordance with New York State law. Medical bills paid by credit card are no longer considered medical debt. By paying with a credit card, you are forgoing federal and state protections around medical debt, including prohibitions against wage garnishment and property liens, prohibition against reporting medical debt to credit bureaus, and limitations on interest rates. If you click "Pay Online" and enter your credit card information, you acknowledge that you are foregoing these protections by paying with a credit card.

If you want to pay by phone please use our 24/7 automated IVR line by calling 1-833-759-6010.

If you have an older statement or want to pay in-person, please visit the appropriate Cashier's Office.

How Your Payment is Applied

Your bill may contain charges from more than one UR Medicine provider, or you may have an unpaid bill with one of our hospitals, home care services and/or professional services from the University of Rochester Medical Faculty Group. If that is the case, your payment will be applied to your oldest outstanding balance first.

To direct your payment to a specific bill, please make your payment through MyChart or contact us.
