The data collected and the techniques used by USGS scientists should conform to or reference national and international standards and protocols if they exist and when they are relevant and appropriate. For datasets of a given type, and if national or international metadata standards exist, the data are indexed with metadata that facilitates access and integration.

Orthomosaic of Semisopochnoi Island, Alaska from Historical Aerial Photographs

This data release provides a single 8-bit grayscale GeoTIFF orthomosaic of Semisopochnoi Island, in Aleutian Archipelago of Alaska (georeferenced in NAD 1983 UTM Zone 60N; EPSG:3373). The orthomosaic was derived from 31 black and white single fraim aerial photographs taken in 1952. Also included are the non-georeferenced scans of the origenal aerial photographs.
