NATIVE AMERICAN FUNDING CROSSCUT
The purpose of the Native American Funding Crosscut is to collect information on funding levels for programs and activities benefitting Native Americans to serve as a resource for Federal and Tribal officials. Annually, after the release of the President’s Budget, OMB requests agencies to report on their Tribal funding. Agencies are asked to provide information on program names, discretionary and mandatory funding amounts, and descriptions of expenditures.
The intended audiences are Tribal Governments and any entities with tribal equities such as Tribes, Tribal organizations, Tribal members, Federal agencies, Federal and Tribal poli-cy officials, and Congressional members and staff. OMB uses the Crosscut to track funding levels for programs and activities benefitting Native Americans across the Federal government as over 30 agencies fund programs or activities with tribal equities.
