He said the problem is probably at UH Hilo and they are trying to figure it out. This is the fifth day without mainland access. COMMENT: Mon Aug 19 19:40:16 GMT 1996 The network is back up now. Checking on possible causes. WEATHER COMMENT: Mon Aug 19 22:24:37 GMT 1996 Orographic clouds are passing over. MKIII COMMENT: Mon Aug 19 22:24:55 GMT 1996 I can see the signal from the clouds in the loaf of bread for channel 0 but the shape and amplitudes look wrong. I can see a signal that looks larger than normal for channel 1. I tried reseting the program but that didn't change anything. MKIII COMMENT: Mon Aug 19 23:48:54 GMT 1996 DCSA, line drivers, and microprocessor all seem to be working normally. Will check out DCSB power supplies then cards. MKIII COMMENT: Tue Aug 20 00:24:41 GMT 1996 One of the power supplies gets pulled to nearly +/- 0 volts instead of +/- 15 volts when it is connected to DCSB, same thing happens to one of the spare three power supplies when connected, in both cases the voltage is correct when power supplies aren't connected. So it looks like the power supplies are good but there is a short circuit in at least one of the 4 DCSB cards for channel 0, I test those tomorrow when there is sun. Also, all LEDs are lit on the DCSB for channel 0 but not for channel 1 unless the power supplies are disconnected from channel 1. COMMENT: Tue Aug 20 00:37:32 GMT 1996 Activity report: QP: 70; 87; 235; 270. No coronal activity.
