Drive 1 in primary bank failed again over the week and tape was writing to secondary bank. NOAO ejected the tapes from the tower drive in anticipation that we'd load new tapes into them to back-up the secondary bank since the tower tapes had some unique data on them. Tpaes were found popped out as expected. When I tried cleaning the drives, the cleaning tapes did not load completely and we could not eject them. Jean (at NOAO) thinks there is a SCSI problem. They shipped out a replacement primary bank and a spare tower today so we decided to just wait for the shipment and send the faulty tower back.
