I Have closed the dome shutter doors and windows. ___end___ GENERAL COMMENT BY mcotter: Sun Oct 18 00:48:40 GMT 2020 When attempting to quit the Kcor Socketcam program the black GUI would not upload the "quit" command. This morning I had a problem with the Kcor program and I had to restart the computer in order for it to respond. I am wondering if this is a similar problem may be associated with the one I experienced this morning. I am going to reset the computer and see if it will respond properly. ___end___ GENERAL COMMENT BY mcotter: Sun Oct 18 01:48:46 GMT 2020 After restarting the computer, I restarted the Kcor Socketcam program. Once again I was not able to enter the "quit" command. The mouse was working but the keyboard was not. I checked all the connections between the keyboard and KVM computer and all checked out fine. I tried another keyboard but it still would not work. I called Ben to tell him of the problem. Ben instructed me to change screens from Kcor to SGS. The keyboard and mouse worked fine with this screen. Ben instructed me to plug a keyboard directly into the back of the Kcor computer. I did this and the Kcor computer recognized the keyboard. Ben instructed me to power cycle the KVM computer. I did so, and after this the Kcor computer recognized the keyboard (and mouse) and I was able to successfully input the "quit" command into the Socketcam black GUI and exit the program properly. No further technical issues at this time. ___end___ GENERAL COMMENT BY mcotter: Sun Oct 18 01:57:28 GMT 2020 Mostly overcast skies today. I was able to observe for a short period of tine this morning, but the skies were fairly bright. ___end___ GENERAL COMMENT BY mcotter: Sun Oct 18 01:58:38 GMT 2020 Removed and remounted CO2 fire extinguisher from within the dome to the adjoining vestibule, as per Ben's instructions. ___end___ GENERAL COMMENT BY mcotter: Sun Oct 18 02:48:49 GMT 2020 Sunny day, but unfortunately a lot of Cirrus and Cirrostratus clouds making for an overly bright day for observing. ___end___ ONSITE STAFF: mcotterFetched URL: https://download.hao.ucar.edu/d5/mlso/log/observer/2020/mlso.2020d291.olog
