It is so bright that I can see it in the Kcor synoptic images. So far it does not have the rapidly moving material that would be indicative of a CME, but it is worth noting because of it's intensity and size. ___end___ Sat Dec 25 18:32:28 GMT 2021 Running UCOMP Cookbook all_wavelenght_coronal.cbk line 0 GENERAL COMMENT BY mcotter: Sat Dec 25 19:25:16 GMT 2021 The prominence that I referred to in my previous comment is very bright and noticeable in the Kcor DIFF image, as well as the Kcor NRGF image. I keep checking my email to see if an automated alert has been sent out but nothing as of yet. Again, I do not see any projectile(s) flying away from the corona but it is big and it is very noticeable. ___end___ Sat Dec 25 19:43:48 GMT 2021 Running UCOMP Cookbook no-occulter-flat.cbk line 0 Sat Dec 25 19:50:21 GMT 2021 Running UCOMP Cookbook dark_80ms_2beam_16sums_BOTH.cbk line 0 Sat Dec 25 19:51:38 GMT 2021 Running UCOMP Cookbook 637_Pol_Calibrate.cbk line 0 Sat Dec 25 19:55:57 GMT 2021 Running UCOMP Cookbook 656_Pol_Calibrate.cbk line 0 Sat Dec 25 20:00:01 GMT 2021 Running UCOMP Cookbook 789_Pol_Calibrate.cbk line 0 Sat Dec 25 20:04:05 GMT 2021 Running UCOMP Cookbook 1074_Pol_Calibrate.cbk line 0 Sat Dec 25 20:08:08 GMT 2021 Running UCOMP Cookbook 1079_Pol_Calibrate.cbk line 0 Sat Dec 25 20:12:12 GMT 2021 Running UCOMP Cookbook waves_1074_1hour.cbk line 0 Sat Dec 25 20:53:26 GMT 2021 Running UCOMP Cookbook waves_1074_1hour.cbk line 75 Sat Dec 25 21:00:06 GMT 2021 Running UCOMP Cookbook waves_1074_1hour.cbk line 85 GENERAL COMMENT BY mcotter: Sat Dec 25 21:16:06 GMT 2021 I am not going to run the calibration sequence today, as I am still monitoring the large protrusion coming from approximate polar angle 250 deg. The Kcor NRGF image shows the protrusion with great prominence, though the Kcor DIFF image shows it brightly flowing in and out with much activity. I keep checking my email to see if an automated CME alert has been sent out, but so far nothing has shown up in my mail. I would very much like to discuss this at one of our upcoming meetings. If I was going solely by the Kcor DIFF image I may be inclined to send out an alert. ___end___ Sat Dec 25 21:24:11 GMT 2021 Running UCOMP Cookbook dark_200_1sums_80ms.cbk line 0 Sat Dec 25 21:29:10 GMT 2021 Running UCOMP Cookbook no-occulter-flat.cbk line 0 Sat Dec 25 21:35:42 GMT 2021 Running UCOMP Cookbook all_wavelenght_coronal_flat.cbk line 0 Sat Dec 25 21:54:05 GMT 2021 Running UCOMP Cookbook all_wavelenght_coronal.cbk line 0 GENERAL COMMENT BY mcotter: Sat Dec 25 22:33:45 GMT 2021 Emptied trash receptacles in the dome and the control room. ___end___ GENERAL COMMENT BY mcotter: Sat Dec 25 23:06:41 GMT 2021 Good morning for collecting data. Clear and cold, though just a little bright. Orthographic clouds are beginning to make their way up the northwestern slope of Maunaloa, some high altitude Cirrus is forming to the southwest. ___end___ ONSITE STAFF: mcotter
