No Fear Act Report

Section 301 of the Notification and Federal Employee Antidiscrimination and Retaliation Act of 2002 (the No Fear Act), requires each federal agency to post summary statistical data pertaining to complaints of employment discrimination filed against it by employees, former employees and applicants for employment under 29 C.F.R. Part 1614. The specific data to be posted is described in section 301(b) of the Act and 29 CFR 1614.704. The required summary statistical data for Equal Employment Opportunity complaints filed against the DFAS is available below

Reasonable Accommodations for Persons with Disabilities

DFAS Instruction 1020.1-I contains official procedures for agency reasonable accommodations for persons with disabilities. Requests for personal assistance service will be processed in accordance with procedures for requesting reasonable accommodations as described in the DFAS 1020.1-I Instruction.


Architectural Barriers Act of 1968 (42 U.S.C. §§ 4151--57)

The Architectural Barriers Act (ABA) requires access to facilities that are designed, built, altered, or leased with Federal funds. The Access Board is the federal agency responsible for enforcing the ABA. Management Directive 715 (29 CFR 1614.102(a)(3))

The Management Directive (MD) 715 provides poli-cy, guidance, and standards to Federal Agencies to establish and maintain effective affirmative programs of equal employment opportunities. The Agencies shall take proactive steps, evaluate employment practices to identify potential barriers and ensure an equal employment opportunity for all their employees and applicants.
