Friday night lights are turning on across the Northland. WDIO Sports will have the best highlights and all the scores from our local high school football games during Prep Sports Extra Fridays at 10:25 p.m.

On Friday, October 4, Duluth Denfeld cutting down Cloquet 38-22 to improve to 5-1. Hermantown earned their third straight win over Duluth East 56-12 to sit 5-1. Barnum remains undefeated after shutting out Mille Lacs 29-0. Esko took advantage of early afternoon matchup defeating Hibbing 35-0.

In Wisconsin, Hayward blew over Ashland 28-8, and Northwestern created a three-game win streak by steamrolling Bloomer 64-0.
