Temperatures for the period averaged 44 degrees across the state which was 6 degrees warmer than normal
and no change to the previous period. High temperatures averaged from 51 in the West to 48
in the East. Departure from normal high temperatures ranged from 4 degrees warmer than normal in the West
to 1 degrees warmer than normal in the East. Low temperatures averaged from 39 degrees in the West
to 38 degrees in the East. Departure from normal low temperature ranged from 9 degrees warmer than normal
in the West to 10 degrees warmer than normal in the East. The extreme high temperature for the period
was 65 degrees at HICKMAN 2E and the extreme low was 20 degrees at PIKEVILLE 13S.
Precipitation (liq. equ.) for the period totaled 2.46 inches statewide which was 1.49 inches above normal
and 254% of normal. Precipitation totals by climate division, West 2.93 inches, Central 2.79 inches,
Bluegrass 2.18 inches and East 1.94 inches, which was 1.97, 1.74, 1.3 and 0.95 inches above normal.
By station, precipitation totals ranged from a low of 0.85 inches at WILLIAMSBURG AWOS to a high of 5.05
inches at MURRAY 1W.
