Nine people have been charged with federal crimes in connection with an alleged scheme to smuggle at least $200 million of counterfeit and illicit goods from China through the ports of Los Angeles and Long Beach, prosecutors announced Monday.

Willoughby, who waived her right to anonymity in connection with the case, told the Sunday Times' Style magazine: "It's been a tough one. There's no way of sugar-coating it."

Paul Butler, 53, has been charged in connection with the death of Claire Chick, who was a nurse and university lecturer.

Police are yet to charge anyone in connection with the killing.

Meanwhile, at least 20 lawsuits have been filed against Southern California Edison in connection with the Eaton fire, which razed large swaths of Altadena while it burned simultaneously with the Palisades fire.
