Conference/grounds passes are necessary for admittance to the VIC. Conference badges will be issued at the UN Security and Safety Section Pass Office at Gate 1. The Pass Office is opened weekdays from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Delegations are requested to indicate, in advance, the composition of their delegations to UNOOSA. Contact us
To avoid delays in accessing the VIC, badges can be printed ahead of the meetings. Permanent Missions are requested to send accreditations of delegations in electronic word version, providing an e-mail address to UNOOSA at least one week ahead of the meeting to oosa@unoosa.org; fax: (+43 1) 26060-5830. The same applies to IGOs and NGOs, with permanent observer status with the Committee, observers and other UN entities and specialized agencies.
After the information has been received, participants will be contacted electronically and requested to upload their photos to the system, in order to receive their badge ahead of the meeting. The photos should be JPG format and the size 2 x 2 inches (5 x 5 cm).
Upon checking their availability with the Pass Office at passoffice@unvienna.org, Permanent Missions can pick-up the pre-printed badges a day ahead of the meeting directly from the Pass Office, opened weekdays from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Participants who are part of an official meeting delegation and hold no valid grounds pass are kindly asked to enter via Gate 1, where they can have their badge issued. Participants should provide an appropriate form of a photo identification document at the entrance. To avoid delays, the option of pre-printing of badges is recommended.
