As our mission makes clear, the Lewis Honors College “challenges students intellectually, provides access to the most creative minds at UK, and prepares students for advanced study and global competency.” Our faculty focuses on excellence in undergraduate education and works to engage students holistically both in and out of the classroom. The Lewis Lecturers focus exclusively on undergraduate Honors education and have offices in our buildings. In addition, Honors faculty from across the University of Kentucky enjoy the opportunity to come teach courses in Honors and to offer Honors sections of courses in their home departments. Whether it takes place in Lewis Hall or somewhere else on campus, Honors courses are interactive, engaging, and designed to make students think and learn in creative ways.
