Multilingualism is a defining characteristic of FAO as an international and intergovernmental agency. This is highlighted in the mainstreaming of the use of all six FAO languages, including Arabic, in the delivery of the Organization’s mandate.

Every year, FAO publishes hundreds of titles in the six official UN languages. Many of those are published in Arabic. All publications are available to download for free on our website, including books, brochures, booklets, and policy briefs.

In today’s increasingly digital world, FAO is adopting all the publishing technologies to reach out and engage with as many readers as possible, including Arabic-speaking audiences across the globe. Looking ahead, we are working on additional outreach and dissemination tools, including a newsletter focused on publications in Arabic, as part of our effort to share knowledge with readers worldwide.

This World Arabic Language Day, browse through the FAO publications available in Arabic.
