Mentor Fellow Alumni and Current students

Your knowledge of career development and the legal market is very valuable to fellow alumni and current students. American Association of Law Libraries
AALL has developed an on-line Job Hotline (database) for law graduates interested in careers as law librarians. The AALL website also contains information on the educational requirements necessary for a career as a law librarian.

American Bar Association
ABA Career Center

Association of American Law Schools
The AALS serves as a conduit between law schools and candidates seeking positions in law schools: it provides candidate information to law schools and notifies candidates of law school position openings. In addition, the Association sponsors an annual two-day Faculty Recruitment Conference at which the law schools can interview candidates. Last year, almost 700 candidates were interviewed by faculty appointments committees from more than 130 schools. To review current openings at law schools, contact Lisa Carberry.

The ACC rovides a searchable job database and resume-posting service for in-house positions.

Cornell Clubs
Cornell Clubs bring together Cornell graduates living throughout the U.S. and the world.   These social/networking organizations often contain lawyer sub-groups that offer excellent networking opportunities.

The Heiro Gamos Legal Employment site contains a searchable database of legal positions and a directory of legal recruiters and employers.

LawJobs.com website allows job seekers to post resumes, review job databases, and search for employers and recruiters.  It also contains news features, links to surveys, and salary information.

Lexis Nexis
Lexis Nexis provides law school graduates free access to many of its career-related files, including Martindale Hubbell.

NALP, The Association of Legal Career Professionals
NALP is useful for alumni job seekers.

Washington Council of Lawyers
The Washington Council of Lawyers is a voluntary bar association which promotes the practice of pro bono and public interest law.  To view open positions with public interest organizations nationwide, join WCL via its website.
