Status

The SOCRATES campaign took place between 15 January and 24 February 2018 with an operations center in Hobart, Tasmania. The NSF/NCAR GV HIAPER aircraft conducted 15 flights over the Southern Ocean to help improve our understanding of clouds, aerosols, air-sea exchanges, and their interactions over the Southern Ocean. Additional instrumentation were on-board the CSIRO R/V Investigator and there were overflights of the ship as well as Macquarie Island. There were also observations on-board the RSV Aurora Australis for a cooperating project.
