This month, USAID Administrator Samantha Power called for the expansion of agricultural innovation and investment to address current and future global food crises. She also announced new Agency initiatives to improve agricultural practices that target the root causes of hunger and malnutrition. That includes more funding for large-scale food fortification, expansion of seed breeding technologies, and improvements in fertilizer use. These investments are critical to addressing what we grow, how we grow it, and who benefits.
