Temperatures for the period averaged 42.7 degrees across the state which was 4.6 degrees warmer than normal
and 7 degrees warmer than the previous period. High temperatures averaged from 52.2 in the West to 51.5
in the East. Departure from normal high temperatures ranged from 4.1 degrees warmer than normal in the West
to 2.9 degrees warmer than normal in the East. Low temperatures averaged from 43.1 degrees in the West
to 33.5 degrees in the East. Departure from normal low temperature ranged from 13.2 degrees warmer than normal
in the West to 5.9 degrees warmer than normal in the East. The extreme high temperature for the period
was 69.4 degrees at Letcher county and the extreme low was 10.8 degrees at Johnson county.
Precipitation (liq. equ.) for the period totaled 3.45 inches statewide which was 1.43 inches above normal
and 170.6% of normal. Precipitation totals by climate division, West 3.92 inches, Central 3.86 inches,
Bluegrass 2.73 inches and East 3.30 inches, which was 1.71, 1.65, 0.97 and 1.39 inches above normal.
By station, precipitation totals ranged from a low of 2.29 inches at Clark county to a high of 6.16
inches at Calloway county. Dewpoint temperatures for the state averaged near 35.7 degrees.
