Temperatures for the period averaged 48.6 degrees across the state which was 3 degrees warmer than normal . High temperatures averaged from 59.3 in the West to 58.2 in the East. Departure from normal high temperatures ranged from 2.3 degrees warmer than normal in the West to 1.4 degrees warmer than normal in the East. Low temperatures averaged from 49.0 degrees in the West to 37.0 degrees in the East. Departure from normal low temperature ranged from 12.3 degrees warmer than normal in the West to 3.9 degrees warmer than normal in the East. The extreme high temperature for the period was 85.8 at Lawrence county and the extreme low was 5.2 at Harlan county.

Precipitation (liq. equ.) for the period totaled 8.54 inches statewide which was 0.56 inches above normal and 107.1% of normal. Precipitation totals by climate division, West 10.82 inches, Central 8.72 inches, Bluegrass 7.65 inches and East 6.98 inches, which was 1.77, 0.26, 0.68 and -0.44 inches respectively from normal. By station, precipitation totals ranged from a low of 5.68 inches at McCreary county to a high of 14.05 inches at McLean county. Dewpoint temperatures for the state averaged near 40.5 degrees.
