In addition to viewing drifter locations and buoy types within the array, this Google Earth version of the Drifter Array also includes metadata and short trajectories for each drifter, as well as manufacturer and GDP locations and contact information. Additionally, within the GDP_GE_Array.kmz, annual mean sea surface temperature (SST), Ocean Current Velocities, and Drifter Deployment Value layers are available. To access these layers, simply select the desired option from within the Maps folder, inside Buoy Status. A demonstration of this process can be found below:
