World Poetry Day is celebrated each year on March 21. And though the art form isn’t often associated with feminism, poetry has for centuries been used to voice opposition. Here are five insightful poets to discover during Women’s History Month.
She often mined her autobiography to explore themes of sexual, racial, and economic oppression. Recommended: “Still I Rise” and “Caged Bird”
