Jani Blom
- Actor
- Camera and Electrical Department
Jani Blom was born in Finland, but grew up all around the world, mainly
in Stockholm, Sweden and Los Angeles.
As a teenager in Stockholm he auditioned for and got accepted to the prestigious South Latin High School for Drama.
Directly out of school, Jani was cast in "The White Ravens", at "Orion Teatern," directed by Lars Rudolfsson, mostly known for directing the musical "Kristina" that played at Carnegie Hall, New York City and at the Royal Albert Hall, London. The play was selected winner of best play at the International Theatre Festival in Lisboa. The experience was a dream come true for Jani because he had always wanted to work with this ensemble.
Soon after, Jani landed in Southern California. He briefly attended the University of California, San Diego before transferring to the Lee Strasberg Theatre Institute and University of California, Los Angeles.
Jani's first film role came when he was cast in Spike Lee's Bamboozled (2000). He once ditched school to see "Do the right thing" by Spike Lee and thought, "I'd die to work with him but that won't ever happen". Sure enough it did.
