Before joining SAG or AFTRA (and before the merger) in Los Angeles and adopting her union moniker, Karla With a K, she worked as Karla Antoinette, a Radio Personality and Public Affairs Director at Virginia State University's 91.3 WVST and at Magic 99FM, Richmond, VA. She also had a brief stint at Hampton University's 88.1FM, WHOV, Hampton, VA.
