We couldn't imagine a better first post! Several of our CSL scientists were awarded the Dept of Commerce Silver Medal for scientific/engineering achievement yesterday in Washington, DC for successfully executing a rapid response campaign to study the atmospheric impact of the unprecedented Hunga Tonga-Hunga Ha'apai volcanic eruption. Congratulations to CSL's Karen Rosenlof, Troy Thornberry, Steve Ciciora, and Ru-Shan Gao, along with Gary Morris and Bryan Johnson from NOAA GML and Alice Crawford from NOAA ARL. A very well-deserved honor! 🎉
