PRINCETON IN LATIN AMERICA
Engaging communities. Impacting the nonprofit sector. Informing tomorrow's leaders.
Welcome To PiLA
Princeton in Latin America (PiLA) was established in 2002 by an enthusiastic group of Princeton students, alumni, staff and faculty as an independent nonprofit organization dedicated to strengthening in the Americas the fulfillment of the University's motto, "Princeton in the nation's service and the service of humanity."
PiLA offers young professionals the opportunity to work with leading organizations across Latin America and the Caribbean, contributing to projects in a variety of fields, including education, public health, environmental conservation, microfinance, and more. Since its founding, PiLA has connected over 400 talented individuals with meaningful opportunities to make a difference in the region.
PiLA matches partner NGO and multilateral organizations that are engaged in socially responsible development projects in Latin America and the Caribbean with highly qualified and motivated recent college graduates pursuing year-long service fellowship opportunities throughout the region. PiLA seeks to have a constructive, measurable impact on its partner organizations and on the communities they serve, as well as on PiLA fellows themselves.
