About Us

We are dedicated to working directly with private landowners, citizens, and agencies.

Since 1941, the Scott Soil and Water Conservation District in Jordan, Minnesota has been helping Scott County citizens protect and preserve land and water resources. Working towards:

  • Promoting wise and sustainable use of our land and water-related resources

  • Educating and informing the public 

  • Solving resource problems within the District

  • Serving as a county-wide natural resource information and referral center

The Scott SWCD is a political subdivision of the State of Minnesota established to carry out a program for the conservation, use, and development of soil, water, and related resources.

DISTRICT BUSINESS

The Scott SWCD is governed by a five-member Board of Supervisors. The Board is responsible for setting policies and overall direction for implementation of the SWCD's programs and services. Regular meetings of the Board occur on the third Thursday of each month and are open to the public.
