“I strongly believe that art does not thrive in isolation, that art has to be in the service of community,” he explains.

The singers seemed to agree that some time focusing on their solo careers would strengthen their future collaborations and would ultimately be in the service of their fans.

“This is a huge accomplishment for us and it is the biggest pride to be in the service of religion, the country and the guests of God, the most merciful,” she said.

His point is that you don’t expand on a play’s mise-en-scène just for physicality’s sake; it has to be in the service of story.
