I’m involved in a series I enjoy BUT in order to get enough coins to even continue watching without having to sell my first born child to afford to continue to watch, I have to rate the app 5 stars. So take the high rating on this app as questionable.

The good: Series I am watching is cute and entertaining. Plot and acting are better than in many other similar apps.

The bad: Costs A LOT. When I consider my monthly Netflix subscription which I pay so that everyone in the household can watch, the cost is far, far less than paying extra for even one series. Even though I tend to watch their stupid ads and jump through hoops to get coins so I don’t have to shell out big bucks for a series, it’s annoying.

Next, unlike nearly every other app similar to this one, the do not allow you to see a list of episodes so you can know how many more until the end. Right now, I think I am probably over half way done but have no idea for sure. With some apps I am willing to pay for a few episodes if I am close to the end but no way will I do that when I have no real clue as to how many episodes are left.

Also, unless you speak Chinese, over half the offered series feature actors speaking in that language. These have subtitles and are occasionally dubbed, but though the plots offer insights into a culture with which I am unfamiliar and which I also find interesting, the violence against women is disturbing.

So BUYERS BEWARE.

Love the dramas! Love the catch you keep in your viewers minds as well! However, the only flaw in my perspective is your values.
For instance, I think you would draw in a lot more consumers if you were to cut your prices in half! Yes, I’m sure you’re pulling a good deal in currently however, how many are turnovers?
In my opinion, that would be a hot seller to an update for this app. OR, for certain customers, give a deal option for length of “membership”?
Otherwise, you draw in many, many minds.

If you are someone that likes to pay for subscriptions, the shows here are good and long-term pricing is decent.

However, the app has several technical issues that need to be addressed. As someone that works in app development, this user experience should be addressed ASAP.

1. When you get to the last episode you can’t exit unless you close the app or back up one episode and back out
2. When you try to go back to the home screen it gives you an annoying pop up suggesting new shows (which generally are things I’ve already watched) - then you have to close it and try to hit back a second time
3. When I close the app to do something else there is no easy way to find or continue watching a show - if I find the show on the home screen it doesn’t remember what episode I’m on and always starts me at the beginning- my workaround is to go to my account then click watching history then click on the show to land where I was last watching
4. After you have used the app for awhile it is hard to find new shows because they are not clearly marked as finished/started, and the same recommendations are always on the top - so now I find myself doing a lot of scrolling to find new things and if I accidentally pick something I’ve completed I have to go through that annoyance of exiting a show mentioned above
