This is awesome. It has been a very entertaining couple of hours. I really love the theme selector you've put there, nice one! Probably going to checkout this once it is fully done.
Very nice. Only feedback is that each location's menu, especially the academy's which was huge, could use some automatic centering 'cause I often had to pan around to see all the available buttons.
A very neat and original idea for what has to be said is a largely one trick pony genre. Well implemented with a great tutorial and progression ramp. The UI, sound design and graphics are all on point. The story (how much did you really expect of a clicker?) was good for the genre and every element of the story, UI, graphics and sound tied everything together to support each other and the core mechanics and the whole is most definitely better than the sum of its parts! :D
Overall a very enjoyable game that did not overstay its welcome (unlike this genre in general) and even felt like it had some replayability for optimisation... I don't know how you'd balance extending this game so I'll settle for requesting more games! Thank you for all your hard work and effort! :) <3
I'm addicted! I find it very relaxing, the graphics and musics are on point. Simple yet so efficient, I like the interconnections between the different areas
I finisehd the game in 3H45 with all prestiges. It's a very pretty surprise, i've loved all : graphics, sound design and gameplay. Thanks for this moment !
Finished in 1:55:21 with 1 Prestige. Great game. I greatly enjoyed it. The pulse from the dragon wasn't obvious to me at first. At the end of my run I had also run out of things to spend tomes on, but I suppose that's a good thing. I found druids always lagged behind Magic despite ending the game with 49 druids, 105 levels in Herbology, max forest upgrades and 9 forest totems. the bonus spirits for the forest totems was a nice bonus.
What a cool game! I was confused at first (maybe because I haven't played incremental games before), but then the game sucked me in.
It didn't make intuitive sense to me that building a higher tower does not consume resources. But as I kept playing, it just worked. But I was a bit confused for a while.
Also, in the beginning, I had this feeling of "what am I even doing here" and it didn't feel like I was making any meaningful choices, but that went away pretty quickly as the game started progressing.
The visual style is really nice and I liked the music too. Graphics could be a bit richer and maybe evolve even more as the game progresses to make the game feel more rewarding.
I love the aesthetics of this. Your pixel-art is quite pleasant to look at, and very memorable indeed. Frankly, the first impression was how I landed on this page at all.
However, the dynamics, or lack thereof, is very disappointing. It gimps the entire experience, for me at least. Turned it on, clicked, instant regret.
Surely this would've been better off as a simple CMS? Like, I make no claims about knowing what's happening behind the scenes, nor the purpose behind its making. But you'd be hard-pressed to persuade me an idle game, what's basically a parody genre, was the perfect fit for this sort of theme? I can't be alone in thinking a wizard-themed SimTower-like is that outlandish a concept… right?
Oh, this is good! Even the prototype provides nice, satisfying content to keep you occupied for a while. The idea of prestige is a good one, and the one thing I really like from this game is how nothing feels ‘wasted’.
Minimalist, stylized graphics work well here, and the animations are lively without being too busy.
The flavor could use some work, because I don’t really care or could relate that cloudlings produce magic and spirit summons other spirits… they’re just generic resources, it feels, but this is very very minor.
Also I have this particular Macleod track associated with Tolarian Community College Youtube channel, so it surprised me a bit when it played (and I hunted my tabs thinking I left Youtube open).
