Artist Meredith Stern obtained a BFA in Ceramics at Tulane University in New Orleans. She is a member of the International printmaking group called The Justseeds Artists’ Cooperative. She has a multifaceted practice that includes printmaking, zine publishing, ceramics, and gardening. She has been playing drums in a feminist rock band for the past eight years. She has collaborated on several large-scale art installations at Space 1026 in Philadelphia Pennsylvania, at the Union Art Gallery at The University of Wisconsin at Madison, and in Ljubliana Slovenia as part of the 29th Graphic Arts Biennial. Her work is in the permanent collections at the Library of Congress, Harvard University, the Book Arts Collection at the MOMA, and in Universities and Museums around the world. Her work has been used as set dressing in Hollywood movies, in magazines including Rethinking Schools andIn These Times, and by organizations including NARAL. She lives in Providence with her husband, child, and two cats.
