Hi, my name is Jeremy Weprich, and I study sociology in the College of Arts and Sciences. I'm originally from Carmel, Indiana. One of the best things about studying at Boston University, is the teachers that you have in the classroom are bringing in the research that they're doing outside of the classroom. So you really have the leaders in research that are innovating in their own fields, and they're bringing that and building it into your classroom material.
And what's great about BU is it offers the flexibility to study as many things as you can fit into your years here. And it offers the opportunity for students who are curious about a lot of things to be able to do that in a meaningful way.
I would say that Boston University is globally renowned. The Boston University name not only has cachet here in the United States, but the BU name extends across national borders, and is known in virtually every other country in the world. And I think that says a lot about the kind of students who come here to study on our campus.
I think the diversity of the faculty and the student body at BU promote this idea of inclusivity in this welcoming environment. And students here are learning how to be welcoming, and how to be tolerant of so many different types of people. And I think that's a major part of the learning experience here.
