UPDATE 2/13/25: DELUXE EDITION - I combined the expansion pack into one unified ruleset and then made it look pretty in Powerpoint. From there, I published as a PDF and now we are HERE. Check out it under the DELUXE file.
________
Entry for ONE PAGE RPG JAM 2023
I like antique stores a lot. I've been going to flea markets my whole life. My dad collects junk, and honestly I probably collect a lot of junk too.
I'm also a big fan of robots and the end of capitalism. In this RPG, you play as a robot, a model that achieved sentience. You were also created by corporations, but now live in a world without corporations. These corporations, in their final years, created a wide and exhaustive range of products trying to capitalize on these newfound sentient robots making a living wage. Throwbacks, new software, utilities and tools, and anything else that you could or could not conceive of.
As a robot, you try to find this junk. You want to collect these unique bits and parts because it is fun.
This game uses FATE/Fudge dice because I think they are neat. Let me know if you have any feedback! Rules are solo play focused, but can play with others in tandem if you want!
2/4/2024 Update: Hello! I've accomplished one of my 2024 goals and put together an EXPANSION PACK for this game. The expansion pack includes modular expanded rules for playing the game differently from the original One-Pager. This update also edited a bit of the text of the original game, but only minor edits.
What's included:
1. Microdistricts and You - Rules for mapping out a neighborhood and getting a better sense of place for your surroundings.
2. Problems - Want to help out those around you? This modules includes mechanics for establishing problems going on around you, and ways you can help take care of them.
3. New Attribute Tables - Expanded the table for + and - attributes for GEAR, plus include a new table for miscellaneous stuff from 0 (Blank) results on the roll.
4. Larger TYPE of GEAR Table - Expanded table for the kind of stuff you might find
5. Multiplayer Support - Official rules for how to play this with other people
I will keep the original one pager on there, since it is complete. Then, there will be an option to download just the expansions. I also will combine the two together into one file, if you want that.

Possibly odd question: who makes that yellow grid paper notepad in the photo?
My first thought was it's from Rhodia, but couldn't find a match. It has a neat grid pattern I've never seen before.

I just discovered this, so i haven't tried it yet but i was so overjoyed when i found this little gem that i needed to leave a comment. I love collecting trinkets irl, so of course i was going to love a game about collecting trinkets while being a robot in a post-capitalist world. Honestly it reads as a comfort place I didn't think I needed.
I plan on using a regular D6 dice (- odd numbers and + even numbers).
Also wanted to give props to having kept the game updated, because now i get to play with all the expansion at the same time. Very excited to try it out.
Thank you! Let me know how the dice work for you. I might have to make an edit to include rules for using d6. Since FATE has blanks, you might try doing 1/2 = +, 3/4 = Blank, 5/6 = -
Let me know if you try that, or if the odd and evens just works (That be way simpler if it does).
I can believe it’s been almost a year. And yeah, i settle with something like that. I also have some non-numeric dice that im using (that represent loot, so i find very thematically fitting for this game)
i have to admit I haven’t played as much as I would love. But I’ve been setting up my system to record the neat little things my character finds.
I do remember having a question tho: Do the extended tables for gear substitute the basic ones? (Extension 4) Since the required throws is three dices, the design idea was to make the character use more energy to use the extended table attribute or assume that the “first round of dice we get” id already three in other to play with said table. Because I understood it that it substituted the og table.
i know i can decide how to interpret the rules, but wanted to know the design choice or idea for it too.
Other type of questions I’m not sure I will get around in doing.
1) What are your feelings regarding translations of the game. Spanish is my first language and I’ve been considering maybe attempting a fan translation of it. For private use only, full credits maintained and so on of course.
2)What are your feelings in editing the original format of the rules? I’m a very visually oriented person, and while i was setting the game I thought about reworking the tables, maybe ti a more visual format, that would fit me best. (Private use too)
again,i haven’t been able to rpg in awhile and this two are things that require a higher commitment that clearly come after me being able to play again. But since I have the ideas flying around, i wanted to ask and know what you would be comfortable with as it is your work
thanks!
Hello! I loved reading this. It is such a nice thing to read in the morning.
First off, I would be in awe if you wanted to do a translation of some kind. I think translation is so cool, so by all means feel free to do whatever!! I'd even be happy with you sharing it if you wanted to. I'm also happy with you playing around with the rulebook however you'd like. You have the document, go wild.
As for the game itself, in my vision, I was thinking the expanded list would be you rolling 3 dice instead of 2, and it just giving you more options. So yeah, I thought of it as a something you could replace the original table with.
I think this was the first Expansion Pack I made for my games, so I think there are some things that are not as clear. I just recently did a sort of more fancy version of another game where I made it look nicer, so that might be something I do with this. I think having a sort of combined rules to make things like that more clear would be nice. So instead of base game plus EP, just having like a unified EXPANDED version that puts it all together.
