This study looks into the relationship between listed firms' financial performance and their Envi... more This study looks into the relationship between listed firms' financial performance and their Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) performance. Investors, legislators, and corporate decision-makers must all grasp how ESG variables affect financial outcomes in light of the public's growing concerns about sustainability and corporate responsibility. This study takes a quantitative approach, using ESG scores and financial information from a sample of listed corporations. Financial indicators including Return on Equity, Return on Assets are compared with ESG performance criteria using statistical research techniques like Correlation Analysis & Multiple linear regression Analysis. The study's findings, which offer empirical proof of the degree to which ESG factors affect corporate financial performance, add to the continuing conversation on sustainable investing. The results' implications are examined in terms of how important they are for investors who want to include ESG factors in their decisionmaking processes and for businesses that want to improve their financial competitiveness while simultaneously enhancing their sustainability practices.

The paper attempts to predict the post COVID-19 second wave value of the Nifty 50 and check the efficiency of ARIMA model in short duration. To study and forecast the performance of Nifty 50 daily closing prices of Nifty 50 index is considered. The historical data are collected from NSE's website. Analysis shows that index has given immense opportunities during the COVID 19 pandemic to enter in equity market. The ARIMA model indicates the range bound movement with 95 per cent of confidence interval.

Nifty auto index and four auto companies are considered for technical analysis. Study concludes with bullish view on auto sector and buying recommendation in Maruti and Bajaj auto for long term investors with 2-3 years view. The index is based on commodity futures prices of an exchange. To study the same daily closing prices of Comdex for last twelve years has been considered. The data are taken from MCX website. Analysis shows that commodities prices have changed substantially since 2007. To forecast the MCX Comdex value ARIMA model has been used. It indicates the range bound or constant increase in commodity prices in near future considering 95% of confidence interval.

The purpose of this research paper is to understand the influence of country’s ease of doing busi... more The purpose of this research paper is to understand the influence of country’s ease of doing business on foreign direct investment in India, as ease of doing business reflects the country’s business regulatory environment. The ease of doing business index created by World Banks Group is examined to understand the influence on the foreign direct investments. Distance to frontier and various factors are used to measure the business environment and regulation defined by World Bank group which are examined to verify the influence on foreign direct investment inflow in the country. Comparative ranking and distance to frontier is also analyzed in this paper to understand relative ranking of India, as these are compared with South Asian nations and selected developing nations. The paper also analyze the government efforts to improve ease of doing business ranking which slipped recently to 142 among 189 nations in the World Banks’s ease of doing business 2015 study. The study shows that there is influence of ease of doing business on foreign direct investment inflow in India. Some of the factors defined by World Bank are observed to be influencing on foreign direct investments significantly, while other do not. The study shows India is behind in ease of doing business ranking compared to its South Asian peers except Afghanistan and Bangladesh.
