Deu nome ao prestigiado Liceu Domingos Ramos em Cabo Verde.
Deutsch: Domingos Gomes Ramos war ein Kämpfer der Unabhängigkeitsbewegung PAIGC im Kolonialkrieg in Guinea-Bissau (1964–1974) gegen die portugiesische Kolonialmacht. U.a. das traditionsreiche Gymnasium Liceu Domingos Ramos wurde nach ihm benannt. Er ist im Ehrendenkmal Memorial dos Heróis da Pátria in der Festung Fortaleza de São José de Amura in der Hauptstadt Bissau bestattet.
English: Domingos Gomes Ramos fought for the guinea-bissauan independence movement PAIGC in the countries armed independence struggle (1964–1974) against portuguese rule. He is buried at the Memorial dos Heróis da Pátria inside the Fortaleza de São José de Amura fortress in the centre of Bissau city. The prestigious Liceu Domingos Ramos in Cape Verde was named after him.
