Horloge du Front de Maine à Angers (Maine-et-Loire). Il s'agit de l'ancienne horloge des abattoirs. Installé au milieu de marécages, l'abattoir de la ville est inauguré début 1847. De cet édifice, reconstruit en 1910, il ne subsiste plus que l'horloge d'entrée. Cette étrange colonne se dresse aujourd'hui au milieu du lotissement du Front-de-Maine érigé en 2000 par l'architecte Claude Vasconi*. Le 5 mars 2001, l’horloge est remontée avenue Yolande-d’Aragon. Face au parc de Balzac, elle rappelle la présence des anciennes activités du quartier. L’horloge, imaginée par, Jules Blitz*, ajoute beaucoup à l'agrément des constructions. L'horloge est contenue dans une caisse de bois juchée sur un pylône métallique. Son toit rappelle la forme des pagodes. Les quatre cadrans de l'horloge sont éclairés de nuit et sont devenus électroniques.
This is the old clock slaughterhouses. Installed in the middle of swamps, the slaughterhouse of the city is inaugurated early 1847. Of this building, rebuilt in 1910, it is extant that the input clock. Today this strange column stands in the middle subdivision of Front-de-Maine built in 2000 by architect Claude Vasconi *. March 5, 2001, the clock is wound avenue Yolande of Aragon. Facing the Park of Balzac, it recalls the presence of the former activities of the district. The clock, designed by Jules Blitz *, adds much to the approval of constructions. The clock is contained in a wooden box perched on a metal pole. Roof recalls the shape of pagodas. Four clock dials are illuminated at night and became electronic.
