Here is how : You can smoothly transition from your existing baseboard to your 3/4 inch trim boards by adding a simple and budget friendly base cap trim upside down on your existing tapered baseboard. This will transition from the standard baseboard curved top to your 3/4 inch trim and eliminate any ugly overhang. I used a Woodgrain baseboard from Home Depot.
