If you have a passion for the structure and development of websites, our Associate Degree in Web Development is the perfect program for you. At DSU, you’ll gain the technical expertise to develop dynamic, secure, and accessible web applications that meet the demands of today's tech-driven world. Learn how to write real-world code and ensure your web applications are optimized for performance and security.

At DSU, you will expereince hands-on learning. Gain practical experience by publishing code and working on real-world projects in a virtualized environment. Test your work across multiple operating systems and programming languages. Explore security protocols in a controlled sandbox and experiment with various server environments. 

 

Develop your web skills

Web developers are in high demand across industries. You’ll develop the skills necessary to create functional and secure web applications that meet business and user needs.

The Associate Degree in Web Development is stackable and easily transfers toward our Application Development Specialization within our Computer Information Systems program.

Learning outcomes

Upon completion of the AS degree in Web Development, students will:

  • Be able to demonstrate the ability to write code using sequence, selection, and repetition.
  • Be able to understand and effectively manage the process of developing, designing, testing, and delivering a program or web page.
  • Be able to manipulate data efficiently to make optimal use of computing resources.
  • Be able to identify, analyze, and take user needs into account in the programming process.
  • Be able to write, test, and maintain computer programs and/or web applications in at least three languages.
