Abstract:
The aim of the study was to identify the drivers and challenges of digitalisation in the real estate sector among different actors. The research methodology has been based on interviews. The organisations interviewed consisted of property owner organisations from both the residential and commercial sectors, as well as property management companies. The key drivers of digitalisation were identified as growing customer demands, increasing competition and efficiency targets. Key challenges were an old property stock, where data is challenging to access, siloed systems and lack of open interfaces, low maturity of data management.
