I have searched to no avail on why all applications I'm running that run on GTK (most all of them) just don't work. I saw your screenshots of XFCE running Gaim on OpenBSD 3.9 and that is what I want. How did you get everything running? I know you probably don't want random people asking for help on non-WP issues, but I haven't been able to find anything and I've looked for hours and hours, reinstalled OpenBSD several times, but I couldn't figure out how to get everything working.
