Wikimedia New York City invites you to attend its monthly WikiWednesday Salon on Wednesday, August 24, from 7:00 pm - 8:30 PM ET. No experience of anything at all is required. All are welcome!
All attendees are subject to Wikimedia NYC's Code of Conduct.

editHow to connect: To join just follow this url: https://us02web.zoom.us/j/85212519478
If you have not used Zoom before, you will be prompted to download its launcher program. It works on PC, Mac, and Linux. If necessary, you can also connect through Zoom's iOS or Android app, which you can find on the zoom.us website. As a last resort, you can also dial in by phone, calling (646) 876-9923 and enter the meeting ID (852 1251 9478). Please keep in mind that if you dial in by phone you will be able to listen, but will miss all visuals.

- For some years they have been requesting that the Wikimedia Foundation invest in technical development of the tools they need to do their activities
- They are requesting signatures on this petition in support of this request.

- Vote for candidates to take 2 of the 16 seats on the Wikimedia Foundation Board of Trustees
- This is the most important election on the Internet
- Selected candidates will serve three year terms. Duties include approving or rejecting the US$200 million annual Wikimedia Movement budget, and overseeing the activities of the CEO
