Usage notes
edit- The о (o) form is usually unstressed except in the idiom бок о́ бок (bok ó bok).
- When governing the prepositional case, the form о (o) is used before consonants, except before a few clusters where the form обо (obo) is used.
- When governing the accusative, the form о (o) is used before most consonants in the written language: the usage is variable before liquids. In the spoken language, об (ob) is used in all cases.
