Sauvé's political career began working as a supervisor for a polling station for [[Vancouver South|Vancouver south]] electoral district in the [[2015 Canadian federal election]]. Although Sauvé is rather new to politics, she hopes to use activist history as an asset in the upcoming election. Sauvé commented on the matter in an interview for the [[Abbotsford News]]:<blockquote>“When they see a guy in a suit who talks about policy, is that something that people can really wrap their heads around when it comes to their everyday struggle?
