Genetically enhanced?
Does anybody know if it was ever actually stated that Azrael was genetically enhanced? From my reading, it seems as if an Azrael feotus is raised in animal amniotic fluids and fed animal nutrients, which might have some effect on muscle growth or something (I have honestly no clue what it would do), but it definitely wouldn't have an affect on his genes.D1Puck1T 16:29, 22 June 2006 (UTC)
- According to Azrael #30, the guy had traces of animal genes in his DNA, so he is genetically enhanced. --Neodammerung 03:53, 1 July 2006 (UTC)
Quotes
Stop deleting the quotes section! Jean-Paul's one-liners add some flavor to an otherwise dreary page.—The preceding unsigned comment was added by Hauptmann (talk • contribs) 19:52 July 5, 2006 (UTC)
- Quotes do not belong on Wikipedia. Please take them to WikiQuote. You say that other articles have quotes; can you please point the out to me? --Chris Griswold 05:41, 6 July 2006 (UTC)
The Thanos article has quotes. Evernut 01:26, 25 August 2006 (UTC)
Well, the Thanos article did have quotes. It appears someone felt the same way Chris did. Evernut 17:10, 15 February 2007 (UTC)
Dumas Move
I'd say no to merging the Order of Saint Dumas article with this one. We've just seen an appearance of the Order in the series Manhunter, which means they may be giving more information about this group and just what they're about in ways unrelated to Azrael. TellarHK 08:40, 7 January 2007 (UTC)
- I also say no to the merge especially with the revelations in Manhunter #28. --69.136.111.100 02:44, 16 February 2007 (UTC)
- You two make a good point, so I say no as well. Evernut 16:40, 16 February 2007 (UTC)
Costumes
I think Azrael's different costumes need to be shown. I don't know how to add pictures, but I do know that the DC Comics Encyclopedia and Batman:The Ultimate Visual Guide to the Dark Knight have pictures of his various costumes. If someone has either of those books handy and knows how to add the picture to this article, by all means go for it. Evernut 17:10, 15 February 2007 (UTC)
Never mind. I'm going to try to do it myself. Wish me luck! I'm not sure I know what I'm doing! Evernut 14:24, 3 March 2007 (UTC)
Batman II
Is it interesting to emphasise that Jean Paul was originally presented as Batman II?
Just as Wally west had replaced Barry Allen, just as Guy Gardner had replaced Hal Jordan, it was presented as if Jean Paul was going to be the replacement of Bruce Wayne. That is to say, during the 'KnightQuest Crusade' issues he was always refered to in editorials as Batman - as if he were.
However, I believe it was never the intention of the DC editorial staff to replace Bruce Wayne. I have no evidence of this, though I remember reading on one letters page that Dennis O'Niels's worries were that the new Batman would become too popular to drop (I don't think he ever needed to worry about that).
- I seem to remember reading somewhere, but I could be making this up, that Az-Bats was created in response to fan requests/demands that Batman become darker and more violent (in the vein of The Punisher or some such). Obviously such a move would be drastic and would cause much harm to the Batman mythos, so the creative team opted to introduce a new character to become the Ultra-violent Batman "the fans" wanted. Ideally, had the fans liked the new Batman, he would have stayed - however, he was handled so poorly there was never a chance of that happening. It's also important to note that even if the fans wanted Batman to be darker and more violent, they wanted the real Batman (i.e.: Bruce Wayne) to be darker/more violent. Not some other character. Seperating alias and character
There are now three Azraels:
But the comic book db also lists 1, 2, 3, 6, 7 and while all those possibility aren't worth mentioning here it seems we might be worth having a separate article on Valley and turn this article into something similar to the one I just made at Batman (set index). Thoughts? (Emperor (talk) 02:54, 24 June 2009 (UTC))
Strongly agree! —Preceding unsigned comment added by 99.68.99.26 (talk) 02:13, 12 November 2010 (UTC)

Azrael in Arkham Knight
What has Batman arkham origins's Knithgfall DLC pack has to do with Azrael's role in the arkham games?
Titans version?
How come this article doesn't have any mention of the Azrael character that appeared in Marv Wolfman's Teen Titans run? Spanneraol (talk) 14:01, 21 May 2021 (UTC)
